Privacy policy
1. Who we are
PelisPlus UK (pelisplus.co.uk) is operated by House of Gaming. For privacy questions, email hello@pelisplus.co.uk. The data controller for this website is House of Gaming, subject to the laws of England and Wales.
2. What we collect
Data stored on your device
My List, continue watching and small interface preferences are stored in your browser's localStorage. This data is not sent to us. It stays until you clear site data, use the Clear list button, or uninstall the app. Because it never reaches our servers, we cannot recover it for you.
Technical logs
Our hosting provider records standard request data such as IP address, user agent, requested URL, referrer and timestamp. This is used to deliver the site, prevent abuse and diagnose failures. Logs are retained for a short operational period and are not sold.
Install and share funnel events
We record anonymous, first-party events such as “install band viewed” and “APK button clicked”. The payload contains the event name, page path, referrer, the placement of the button and a random session identifier kept in sessionStorage. It does not contain your name, email address, IP address or advertising ID, and it is not sent to a third-party analytics network unless the operator configures a webhook. You can clear it by closing the tab or clearing site data.
Advertising
The site may show house promotions or third-party advertising. When third-party advertising is enabled, the provider may set cookies or similar identifiers and process device information to measure and personalise ads. Where consent is required, a consent prompt is shown before non-essential cookies are set. You can change your choice at any time through the prompt or your browser settings.
Embedded trailers and players
Trailers load from YouTube's privacy-enhanced domain only after you press play. Third-party player sources open inside a sandboxed frame when you choose to watch a title. Those providers receive your IP address and browser details directly and may set their own cookies. Their privacy policies apply to that processing; we do not control their data practices.
Analytics
If analytics is enabled, it is configured to collect aggregated page views and performance data rather than advertising profiles. Analytics is not required for the site to function.
3. Cookies and local storage
- Essential: local storage for My List and watch progress. No cookie is required for this.
- Advertising: set by the advertising provider only when advertising is enabled and, where required, consent is given.
- Embedded media: set by YouTube or a third-party player when you choose to load that content.
You can delete local storage from your browser settings. Blocking third-party cookies may affect embedded trailers and players but does not stop the catalogue from working.
4. Lawful bases (UK GDPR)
- Legitimate interests: serving the website, securing it, and understanding aggregate usage.
- Consent: non-essential advertising or analytics cookies where the law requires consent.
- Legal obligation: responding to valid legal requests and keeping required records.
5. Sharing
We share data only with service providers needed to run the site (hosting, advertising, analytics, media embeds) and where required by law. We do not sell personal data. Some providers process data outside the UK; where that happens, appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses are used.
6. Retention
Device data remains until you delete it. Server logs are kept only as long as needed for security and operations. Advertising and analytics retention is set by the relevant provider.
7. Your rights
Under UK data protection law you can request access, correction, deletion, restriction or portability of your personal data, and you can object to processing based on legitimate interests. Email hello@pelisplus.co.uk. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.
8. Children
The site is intended for adults and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided personal data, contact us and we will remove it.
9. Security
The site is served over HTTPS and uses security headers to reduce common risks. No system is completely secure, and you should keep your browser and device updated.
10. Changes
We may update this policy when the service or the law changes. The date at the top of the page always reflects the current version.
