About
Less scrolling. More deciding.
PelisPlus UK is a discovery-first catalogue for films, series and anime. It exists to answer one question quickly: what should I watch next? The homepage puts the current UK conversation first, then offers charts for films, series, anime, genres and release windows.
Every title has a real page: a synopsis, trailer, cast, runtime, ratings, production details and — for series — a season-by-season episode guide. If you want to keep something for later, My List saves it in your browser on this device. There is no sign up, no email capture and no marketing list.
How the site is built
- Server-rendered pages. Titles and charts are rendered on the server so search engines and AI answer engines see the content immediately, not after a client-side fetch.
- TMDB metadata. Posters, backdrops, synopses, ratings, cast and episode data come from The Movie Database. The site is not endorsed or certified by TMDB.
- YouTube trailers. Trailers play through the privacy-enhanced YouTube embed. Nothing loads until you press play.
- A protected player. Third-party player pages run inside a sandbox that blocks pop-ups and top-level navigation. You can switch sources without leaving the page.
- Remote configuration. The same remote JSON shape used by the Android app can update enabled sources and ad settings without a redeploy.
The Android app
The Android release packages the same catalogue and player workflow for a phone. It is free, ad-supported and installs from a direct APK on the install page. iPhone users can add the site to the Home Screen from Safari, or use the AltStore and SideStore guides if they want the IPA.
Editorial independence
Charts are generated from audience data, not paid placement. Sponsored slots are labelled and kept separate from the catalogue. A title appearing in a chart is not an endorsement of its availability on any particular third-party source.
